Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements and data governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models.
• Implement efficient ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Utilize Databricks for data processing, analytics, and machine learning tasks, leveraging its capabilities for scalable data engineering and data science workflows.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and efficiency in SQL Server environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to data models, ETL processes, and data lineage to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and business insights.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role, with a strong background in data modeling principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory for building data pipelines and workflows.
• Proficiency in Databricks for data processing, analytics, and machine learning tasks.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working in SQL Server environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in data modelling for JDE or any similar ERP system.
• Manufacturing domain knowledge is required.
